Jessica Mauboy’s 2017 hit single Fallin’ has been nominated as one of the 2018 APRA Song Of The Year in a list where the Voting Academy delivered a shortlist of 20 contenders who are eligible for this year’s award. Mauboy’s song Falllin’ is from the TV series, The Secret Daughter which paints a picture about falling in love which has been described as Australia’s most romantic music video of the year 2017. The song video included Mauboy and her boyfriend of more than eight years Themeli Magripilis who in the video spins barefooted Mauboy around and then sways with her in his arms.Fallin’ was written for the second series of her Seven series The Secret Daughter and the song reached top of iTunes charts after she performed it on The Voice last year.Mauboy last year revealed the idea to coax her boyfriend to co-star with her in the Fallin’ clip was sparked by Magripilis reaction when she played it to him.
