Consumer Reports: Galaxy S4 is the best smartphone in US
Samsung’s new flagship device, currently rolling out around the world is the best smartphone in the Consumer Report latest round of testing according to US based publication, that places new devices through their paces in real-world rather than tech-world scenarios. The publication found that Galaxy S4 delivered top-notch performance in the most critical areas of their tests, that included the camera. Consumer Reports was also impressed that the phone’s screen was sensitive enough to respond to touch via a gloved hand and that the size of the display made multitasking easier.
This will be good news for US consumers who have pre-ordered the device and are now receiving their deliveries since Thursday this week. Samsung is also expected to release a special Google’ edition of the S4, which runs a stock version of Android and does away with the company’s own user interface and all third-party apps. Scheduled to launch on June 26, it will be available to order via the Google Play Store for US$649. It was announced at the Google I/O Developers conference on May 15. Google confirmed few days ago, much to the disappointment of many Android phone fanatics, that the handset will be sold exclusively in the United States and currently, there are no plans to make it more widely available.
